International Brigade of Voluntary Work
and Solidarity with Cuba

Dear friend:

Receive the fraternal and cordial greeting of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP).

Summoned to the celebration of the 61st Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution and the 60th Anniversary of the foundation of ICAP, we invite all friends of the world to join us in the celebration of the 15th “May Day International Brigade” of Voluntary Work and Solidarity with Cuba.

Please arrive by or on April 23.

The brigade’s activities will take place from April 24 to May 8, 2022, in Havana, Artemisa, Villa Clara and Santiago de Cuba provinces. The stay includes 10 nights at the “Julio Antonio Mella” International Camp (CIJAM), located in the Caimito municipality, 45 km from Havana, and 5 nights in facilities in Camagüey and Santiago de Cuba provinces.

The stay will have a cost equivalent to 890.00 USD in other currencies, which includes: accommodation in shared rooms up to 4 people at CIJAM and in double or triple rooms in facilities in Camagüey and Santiago de Cuba provinces, meals, transfer in-out within the activities of the program. Optional visits are not included in the package price. The stay at CIJAM per additional night has a daily cost of 375.00 Cuban pesos (CUP) per person.

The camp, built in 1972, has adequate conditions to meet the needs of friends who visit us from different parts of the world. The agricultural work will be held in areas adjacent to CIJAM and in Pinar del Río province.

By joining the brigade its members are committed to comply with the aforementioned program and to observe properly the rules of behavior, discipline and social coexistence.

The participation in the brigade of a growing number of friends from all over the world, shows not only motivation to know Cuba, but also how solidarity with the Island spreads encouraged by the commitment the Cuban Revolution brings up in the struggle against the U.S. blockade and our right to exist as an independent and sovereign nation.
