About the Resolutions Task Force

The Resolutions Task Force does the detailed work of producing draft resolutions, letters and other resource materials to get resolutions passed in councils, labor bodies and anywhere else we can. You can see the full list below.

Along with the international community, a majority of US residents support an end to the US blockade against Cuba, as well as removing Cuba from the US State Sponsors of Terrorism List.

Every year since 1992 the United Nations General Assembly votes overwhelmingly to condemn the extraterritorial US economic, commercial, and financial embargo against Cuba (The 2023 and 2024 votes each were 187 yes, 2 no, and 1 abstention).

116 resolutions, representing over 60 million US people, have now been passed by U.S. City Councils, County Boards, State Legislatures, School Boards, Labor Councils, Labor Unions, Workers and other Organizations. These resolutions have addressed:

Supporting ending the U.S. embargo/blockade on Cuba

Saving Lives through scientific collaboration with Cuba on Covid-19 Pandemic

Urging that Cuba be removed from the U.S. List of State Sponsors of Terrorism (SSOT)

Many government bodies and labor unions have passed multiple resolutions regarding Ending the Embargo, Saving Lives, and/or Removing Cuba from SSOT list. This is indicated next to the name of each. Units of government are sending letters individually signed by elected officials to the President and Congressional delegations.
