The surprising results from Tuesday’s elections reflect a dramatic rejection of Wall Street, the military industrial complex and the corporate media. Of course how the Trump victory shakes out remains to be seen.
However, one thing that Trump made completely clear is that if he was elected president he would reverse the progress made since in the relations between the US and Cuba since December 2014, as modest as they are.
The upcoming NNOC meeting in Chicago now takes on a new sense of urgency and gives all of us who stand in solidarity with the Cuban Revolution an important opportunity to form strategy and plans for this new reality that we now face. We already had included an agenda point at our annual conference on challenges, opportunities, and strategies. It is even more important for you to join us in Chicago on November 18-20 and plan together our actions for the next year.
See you in Chicago
