Uruguay promotes Nobel Peace Prize for Cuban medical brigade

In its statement, the organization supports and recognizes the 15 years of work done by this contingent of health workers ‘with effort, sacrifice and high professionalism, who risk their lives for the good and humanity.’
The REDH stated that while the United States tightens the economic, financial and commercial blockade against the Caribbean island, Cuban citizens stand out for their good results in the health field, fighting Covid-19 and responding to the imperialist arrogance with more solidarity and real and effective humanitarian aid to dozens of countries.
Intellectuals, artists and social activists, who attended the Uruguay Chapter of the REDH in Montevideo, expressed their condemnation of the criminal blockade against Cuba, rejected the campaigns by the US Government and promoted the nomination of the Henry Reeve Medical Brigade for the Nobel Peace Prize.
