ICAP posted: Washington, Jul 5 The Puentes de Amor project, which continues its walk from Miami to the US capital, today called for a worldwide tweet tomorrow to call for the lifting of Washington’s sanctions against the Cuban family.
The main promoter of the initiative, Cuban-American professor Carlos Lazo, told Prensa Latina that on Tuesday they will publish on Twitter a video in English addressed to President Joe Biden in order to explain the reason for the pilgrimage: to demand the end of these coercive measures.
Starting at 9 a.m., Cuba, Miami and Washington time, and until 12 noon, we invite you to share that video or tweet with labels for Biden, [@POTUS] Vice President Kamala Harris, [@VP] First Lady Jill Biden [@FLOTUS or @DrBiden] and Secretary of State, Antony Blinken [@SecBlinken], pointed out. Labels such as #UnblockCuba will also be used, which calls for the lifting of the US government’s blockade against the largest of the Antilles, added the activist.
