In honor of the Week of Action in Defense of Cuba, Community Movement Builders – Kansas City will be presenting a Cuba Libré Teach-In along with our last reading of . This Nonviolent Stuff’ll Get You Killed by Charles E. Cobb Jr., a powerful book exploring how guns made the Civil Rights Movement possible. The evening will include excerpts from the book, discussion, and community conversation.
This event connects the struggles for liberation in the U.S. South to global anti-imperialist movements, including the fight for Cuba’s sovereignty.
