Sankara’s Orphans – Film Screening and Discussion – Washington, D.C.
March 14 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join us for a film screening of Sankara’s Orphans, followed by a discussion on Cuba’s international solidarity and its connections to African liberation struggles. We’ll be at Cleveland Park Library (Lower-Level Meeting Room) with a brief discussion after.
The film explores the legacy of Thomas Sankara, the revolutionary Burkinabé leader, and the ongoing impact of imperialism in Africa. Following the screening, we will discuss Cuba’s historic role in supporting African liberation movements and what international solidarity means today.
