5/31/15 Boston, MA “A New Era in U.S.-Cuba Relations”

This Sunday at 11am:
“A New Era in U.S.-Cuba Relations”

with Nancy Kohn

UPDATE: Tom Hayden, who was originally scheduled to speak this Sunday, had a medical emergency and cannot travel to Boston. However, we continue with the topic of U.S.-Cuba relations this Sunday with the very knowledgeable Nancy Kohn.

After an emotional and celebratory visit following the release of the Cuban 5 (five Cuban intelligence officers who were arrested in the U.S. in ’98), Nancy Kohn returns to the U.S. and Community Church of Boston with interviews of the Cuban 5’s thoughts on the new era of U.S.-Cuba relations. Nancy will talk about the continuing importance of Cuba’s self-determination and keeping at bay the worst aspects of the U.S. economy.

Nancy has worked for 8 years with International Committee for the Freedom of the Cuban 5, has a Masters Degree in Public Health, and works with Work Rights Press in Cambridge.

Music by the incredible Jordanian violinist Layth Sidiq, who will bring a Middle Eastern ensemble of Berklee students to perform.
