Chicago has long enjoyed substantial relationships with our neighbors in Cuba. This mutually beneficial exchange across sectors – from arts and culture to health care, is under renewed attack. Our campaign to pass a resolution in the Chicago City Council joins dozens of other US cities where Hands Off Cuba resolutions have already been passed.
This event is a CALL TO ACTION where we will be signing up folks to visit their elected officials and otherwise get involved in the campaign. We will hear from a range of speakers testifying on how vital the freedom to travel and exchange in ideas is to our lives.
