A Farewell To Our Brother Professor Nestor Garcia lturbe
African Awareness Association sends its deepest regrets on learn of the transition of Professor Nestor Garcia Iturbe on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the age of 78. Dr. Iturbe’s accomplishments are many but the intrinsic meaning of his life goes much deeper than intellectual prowess and the acumen that accompanies such pursuits. The greatest accomplishments of his life was steadfastness and clarity of purpose which propelled him to impart information that was both enlightening and penetrating; compelling others to confront truths not necessarily palatable. Such a commitment to ideas underscores a passion for clarity but the re-evaluation of a paradigm counter to conventional polity which justifies a primordial existence predicated on rudimentary thoughts facilitated by systems that serves only some elements in society.
Dr. Iturbe is the embodiment of struggle and the prerequisite of standing tall against a malefactor committed to the subjugation of humanity and the increase of global misery by any means. Confronting such a calculating adversary is no easy fete; that to undertake such an endeavor presupposes one has a backbone. Dr. Iturbe, we postulate, had a spine of immense proportions. Never confused with having a gusano disposition, he understood true freedom comes from standing up not acquiescence in a manner where slithering is seen as a viable strategy. If posterity is to serve humanity in the future, it is clear that the shining example established by him will serve humanity well into the future and serve as a great example for humanity. Humanity owes him a great debt. The name Nestor Garcia Iturbe will resonate forever more and humanity will be more the better off.
Long live the spirit of this great man!
In conclusion, we send our thoughts and prayers to Dr. Iturbe’s family. He left us examples of which freedom fighters can aspire and the love he demonstrated toward humanity. Nestor Garcia Iturbe will be forever embedded in the shrine of freedom loving people and the sacrifices made toward a better world.
