A TRICONTINENTAL EMBRACE FOR THE BOLIVARIAN REVOLUTION!

Chavista and Bolivarian people of Venezuela:
Convoked by the international Executive Secretariat of the Organization of Solidarity of the Peoples of Africa, Asia and Latin America (OSPAAAL), we, political and diplomatic representatives from 19 Third World countries, have come together in the capital of Cuba –which for more than 50 years has offered committed hospitality to our tricontinental organization– to celebrate a meeting in solidarity with our sister Venezuela, which is marching forward, unstoppable, victory after victory, along the road to defeat the brutal and sustained counterrevolutionary escalade of the oligarchy and imperialism against the Bolivarian Revolution.
For the last 19 years and after the first and historical electoral victory of the unforgettable President Hugo Chávez Frías, Venezuela has lived under the permanent siege of the most powerful power of the planet and its allies.
All the tools of the so-called non-conventional war have been employed against the Bolivarian Revolution of Venezuela: attempt of coup d’état, successive maneuvers of internal destabilization, despicable violence, terrorist acts, fascist crimes, economic, financial and media war, political-diplomatic isolation strategies, and open meddling in its internal affairs, in violation of International Law and of the universally accepted terms of coexistence between the States.
Those who attack and pretend to crush it have fabricated numberless pretexts and perverse distortions, and have manipulated internal situations without the slightest sense of dignity, whose solution corresponds strictly to the Venezuelans. The unquestionable truth is that the Bolivarian Revolution of Venezuela has been systematically threatened and harassed because of its firmness in exercising its most elementary right to self-determination, and because the transforming work it is carrying out is a sovereign challenge to the imperial attempts of hegemonic continental and global domination.
The Venezuelan people, headed by the eternal Commander Hugo Chávez and his successor, President Nicolás Maduro, has re-founded a horizon of emancipation and reaffirmation of independence that approaches it with brotherly ties to the historical battle waged by the Cuban Revolution and to the subsequent victories of other Latin American peoples who struggle and resist; it has opened a path of far-reaching transformations in defense and benefit of the historically oppressed popular majorities; of social justice, dignity and civic participation; of solidarity, cooperation, unity and continental integration.
It has emerged as winner of 21 elections recognized for their transparency, and has respected those with adverse results, an attitude that is example of civism, patriotism and democratic vocation. It has resisted all threats and has transcended them with abnegation and huge sacrifices. It has given countless evidence of its will to dialogue and coexistence, of commitment with peace and life.
In recent days, after the call to presidential elections made by the National Constituent Assembly, the attacks against Venezuela have increased, particularly against its political and electoral system, as part of a reactionary strategy of media, political-diplomatic and economic-financial harassment that aims at its isolation and submission, at tarnishing the image of President Nicolás Maduro, at demoralizing the chavista and Bolivarian people.
The open involvement of the United States in that systematic escalade of hostility includes, from the crazy and unsustainable Executive Order of Barack Obama’s administration declaring Venezuela “an unusual and extraordinary threat” to the national security of the United States, to the most recent statement of President Donald Trump, who has stated that he does not discount a direct military intervention against Venezuela.
Under such earnest circumstances, the first trench of struggle and resistance rises in Venezuela against the power derived from the use of force to perpetuate inequality and injustice. The cause of the Bolivarian Revolution is the cause of its whole people. The battle for Venezuela must be the battle of an entire continent.
The defense of peace in Venezuela is a duty of honor agreed by all member countries of CELAC, which signed the Proclaim of Latin America and the Caribbean as Zone of Peace, a text that incorporates respect for the inalienable right of each people to choose its political, economic, social and cultural system. To honor that commitment excludes fissures or subgroups. Peace in Venezuela means peace in the continent.
The fatherland of Bolívar and Chávez has received numerous evidences of militant solidarity. Under the present conditions it is the first priority of our efforts in solidarity. From this meeting that brings together representatives of brotherly Third World peoples, we convoke to multiply activities and the most diverse initiatives in support of the Bolivarian Revolution of Venezuela, aimed at defending its sovereignty, independence and right to self-determination, to reject any warlike option that may threaten peace, to disseminate reality with objectivity and oppose it to hatred and lies.
The people of Venezuela –ever more organized and in permanent mobilization– will conquer its 22 victory in the elections on April 22, a happy coincidence. Emerged from the very core of the people, as authentically humble than firm, our comrade Nicolás Maduro will be reelected president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
We will participate in that battle from the platforms and trenches of international solidarity. We will strengthen the unity of our peoples in defense of justice and truth. We will celebrate that victory as our own because:
