Begins in Cuba Tenth Conference against Homophobia and Transphobia
Havana, May 3 (Prensa Latina) The tenth Cuban edition of the Conference against Homophobia and Transphobia began today with the presentation of the educational campaign Me Incluyo (I am Including Myself), centered on promoting in the country”s schools the respect for sexual diversity and orientation.The also deputy to the National Assembly of Cuba (Parliament) pointed out that Cenesex’s work is a world reference, and highlighted the support of Cuban state institutions, government and civil society in the work done by this center since its founding.
In this regard, she appreciated the support of the Ministries of Education and Public Health, as well as the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba, which hosts several of the activities of this day.
She also presented the program of this tenth edition, which will be extended until May 20 with Havana and Villa Clara as main venues. The event includes activities such as the cancellation of a postal stamp commemorating this tenth edition, various conferences in cultural and educational centers and the performance of Cuban and foreign artists.
