Celebrate 60th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution

Please join the Chicago Cuba Coalition in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Cuban revolution. The program and dinner is scheduled for Saturday, January 26th at SEIU Union Hall. Due to scheduling conflicts, there have been minor changes to the program as originally publicized. Most importantly the updated program includes; speakers who will provide information on 2019 brigades, video greetings from ICAP, a brief overview of the political importance of the Cuban revolution, a cultural performance and the opportunity to discuss Cuba solidarity during the pre-program dinner buffet.

SATURDAY, JAN 26TH
Program begins at 7 pm and includes; 

  • Video greetings from ICAP, Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples
  • CCC representative to speak on the gains of the revolution and Cuba’s role in world politics 
  • Local solidarity activists who will share information on the brigades that are being organized in 2019
  • Kuumba Lynx, will share a cultural performance inspired by trip to Cuba
  • Digital photo display of previous brigades
  • Informational tables for brigades: May Day, Venceremos Brigade, IFCO/Pastors for Peace

Dinner at 6 pm
$10 donation requested, no one turned away for lack of funds

Location: SEIU Union hall, 2229 S Halsted Street, Chicago
