Imagen activaHavana, Mar 26 (Prensa Latina) Cuba has signed collaboration agreements with Brazil, Qatar, Argelia, Mexico, Portugal, Saudi Arabia and African nations, announced today Vice Minister of Public Health Marcia Cobas.

Although she did not provide numbers, Cobas said that Cuba has 50,000 collaborators in 67 nations, including 32 countries which are given medical services through the Comprehensive Health Problem.

Solidarity prevails in these agreements, Cobas clarified when she explained that Cuba exports services, no doctors because these professionals have their work place guaranteed in the nation, as well as their wages and social security.

Vice Minister said that the required demand can not be met because employees in the sector must also ensure medical coverage in the country; therefore, traveling groups are used as an alternative for a short time.

The preparation and training of health professionals must be rigorous, mainly in foreign languages, said the official in statements quoted by the National Information Agency.

Referring to health tourism as one of the variants, she said that they intend to significantly increase revenue with this industry.

Therefore they are working so that facilities have the infrastructure and similar conditions to those of other nations in the region.
