Cuban FM Denounces US Lies to Justify Aggression
Havana, April 25 (Prensa Latina) Cuba”s Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez denounced on Thursday that the United States uses lies to justify its aggressive actions against the Cuban people, such as the full application of the Helms-Burton Act through the activation of its Title III.
In a press conference at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Havana, Rodriguez rejected the recent inclusion of yet another five companies on the US Department’s list of Cuban entities prohibited from doing trade with.
He denounced that Washington has instructed its embassies around the world to follow suit with the sanctions against the Caribbean nation and seeks capitals to mobilize international efforts to economically attack Cuba.
The FM pointed out that according to a declassified document, the United States government has instructed its embassies, in recent weeks, to use as a pretext for the additional measures of the economic, political and communicational blockade against Cuba, the presence of military and intelligence services in Venezuela.
‘It is a vulgar slander that again, strongly refute,’ said the head of Cuban diplomacy, who reiterated that the island has no troops, nor participates in military or security operations in Venezuela.
