Cuban medical brigade arrives in Cape Verde to combat COVID-19

The brigade made up of doctors, epidemiologists and nurses from eight provinces.

The group of 20 Cuban collaborators that will face COVID19 in the Republic of Cape Verde arrived in the early hours of this Thursday in that island nation of Africa. The brigade was received at the Nelson Mandela airport in the capital Praia by the Cuban ambassador to that country Rosa Olivia Rill, Dr. Serafina Alves from the Cape Verdean health ministry and other doctors representing the largest of the Antilles.

The brigade made up of doctors, epidemiologists and nurses from eight provinces will join the 79 Cuban aid workers from that country located in the southern part of the African continent and currently confirming some 68 infected with the new coronavirus.

The brigade was received at the Nelson Mandela airport in the capital Praia by the Cuban ambassador to that country.
