The message, contributions, and leadership of Fidel have united not only the Cuban people, but people throughout the world in their struggles for a better and more just world.
Fidel, we continue to learn from your leadership and be inspired by your example of resistance, dignity, and unity.
It was that unity and resistance that forced the United States on December 17, 2014, to return the Cuban heroes to their homeland and to begin the process of restoring diplomatic relations with Cuba.
