Pittsburgh City Council Resolution on US-Cuba

Dear Friends:

On Tuesday, July 24, a Proclamation will be introduced in Pittsburgh City Council Chambers  (see attached or below) in support of normalization of relations with Cuba. The session will begin at 10:00 a.m. We invite you to attend this session in support of this resolution.

Prior to the session, The Pittsburgh-Matanzas Sister Cities Partnership will host an information table in the City-County Building lobby on Tuesday, July 24th from 9:30 am to 12:30 in support of the City Council Proclamation on Cuba being introduced by Councilman Anthony Coghill at their 10 a.m. legislative session.

If you live in Pittsburgh, please make a call to your City Council representative and thank them for their support of this resolution being introduced by Councilman Anthony Coghill in support of normalizing relations with Cuba. This is actually very important, that council hear from constituents that this is an issue of interest in our city.

Thanks to our legislative committee for their hard work in drafting and advocating for this resolution.  Also thanks to all our elected officials and other’s for helping us host a table and make this a memorable day,
