Report back from May Day International Brigade:
‘What we saw in Cuba’
Nearly 300 people from 29
countries joined the 12th May Day
International Brigade to Cuba
April 23 to May 8. Participants
from Chicago learned about the
Cuban Revolution and the
challenges facing workers and
farmers there. We visited
hospitals, met and talked with
farmers leading cooperative
farms, leaders of mass
organizations, and people on the
streets. And we joined the sixmillion-
strong May Day marches
in Havana and cities across the
country.
Participants also joined an
international solidarity conference
in Havana and a 3-day conference
in Guantanamo calling for an end
to the US-imposed economic
blockade of Cuba, US out of
Guantanamo, and an end to US
“regime-change” programs
against the Cuban Revolution.
Come to hear and discuss what we learned in Cuba and what we can do to end
Washington’s continued economic blockade of Cuba and military occupation of
Cuban territory in Guantánamo.
