The New York Cuba Solidarity Project
The issue of the decades-long blockade against Cuba is a human rights issue, one that involves both the basic right of travel for U.S. residents and the rights of the Cuban people to be free from economic violence. The recent restrictions on travel only perpetuate the false myths that millions of tourists over the years have proven erroneous. Cuba is one of the safest countries in the world, where human rights like healthcare, education, and housing are guaranteed to every citizen.
Nations across the world have unanimously and repeatedly spoken: the embargo is inhumane, ineffective andobsolete. The National Lawyers Guild joins the call of others seeking to hold our government accountable for cruel actions taken in our name. Call your congressional representatives now and demand an end to the embargo!
- Ending the blockade against Cuba;
- Ending the Travel Ban and allowing unlimited travel to Cuba;
- We believe in returning Guantanamo to Cuba;
- Calling for an end to all attempts to create regime change in Cuba.
You can HELP END THE BLOCKADE!
