A new documentary by Soraya Castro examines the case of Alan Gross, the Cuban Five, and the prospects for improving U.S.-Cuban relations. It draws from an interview with the late Dr. Robert Pastor, who was involved in a “no-trade trade” as the National Security Council advisor for Latin America during the administration of President Jimmy Carter.
Soraya Castro has been a visiting scholar at St. Thomas University, most recently in 2013. She is a Professor and Senior Researcher at the Center of Research of International Policy, Higher Institute of International Relations, Havana, Cuba
