2015 Women’s Delegation

Twenty women brought their curiosity, interests, skills and expertise to Santiago and Havana, and got an early look at Cubans experiencing first impacts of diplomatic changes. One highlight was an encuentro addressing gender-based violence.

Cuban Literacy Campaign Tours

Luisa Campos, Director of Cuba’s National Literacy Museum, visits the US May-June, 2016, hosted by Collaboration Steering Committee member Catherine Murphy of The Literacy Project, and by other organizations and universities. A second literacy campaign tour is being planned for fall 2016. Read more about the tours and about hosting opportunities.

Official Visits Seattle

Invited and hosted by the Collaboration and allied organizations, Miguel Fraga, First Secretary of the Cuban Embassy in Washington, DC, visited Seattle the first week of March to meet with community groups, college audiences, and elected officials, talking about the work underway and the work remaining to normalize US Cuban relations.
